We've put some work into the Qotr design to help new users find
their way around the site a little bit easier.
We're also about to release settings to allow administrators to
whitelist or blacklist members by email. This should be finalized
within the next couple days.
Beta Has Begun!
To officially call Qotr "Beta" instead of just "Alpha",
which to us was a baseline level of functionality and
stability, we completed the following:
Uploading custom CSS for member-made boards (check your board settings!)
Updating board settings for admins
Mod/Admin ability to delete quotes
Ordering of quote lists by date or score
Fixed bugs in paging (IE) and subdomains with spaces
Listing and searching quote boards
Settings mods/admins for boards
We also got ahead of ourselves and implemented some level
of spam protection thanks to Akismet, and commenting through
Disqus. Before we call our release final, we want to
implement subscribing to boards, "follow" lists for members,
and fix up our exernal API and allow Facebook / Google / etc
logins.
Public Service Announcement: Browsers
We added a list of officially supported browsers to the
help page. We try to make qotr.net
available everywhere, but we don't specifically test in every
browser. We officially test in Chrome latest, Firefox latest,
and the latest Lynx.
Yes, the text browser.
Alpha Opened
We have enough features (and stability) to be alpha!
Make an account, register boards, upboat things, etc.
